Unplug your GE Profile stove from the wall outlet. Alternatively, turn off the breaker supplying power to the appliance. Allow the stoves oven to cool, if necessary.

Open the GE oven door and pull out the baking racks. Set the baking racks aside.

Unscrew the two screws holding the baking or broil element to the back oven wall in the GE Profile stove. Carefully pull the element from the opening in the wall. This pulls the element wires through the wall and into the oven.

Grab the connector at the end of each wire, using needle-nose pliers. Carefully pull each connector from the bake or broil element terminals. Use a small piece of tape to secure the element wires to the wall of the oven so they do not accidentally pull back through the holes in the oven wall.

Lift the bake element off the supports along the bottom of the GE Profile stoves oven. Unhook the broil element from the supports hanging from the top of the oven. Discard the old element.
6.
Push the element wire connectors onto the ends of the replacement bake or broil element. Push the wires back through the holes in the oven wall.
7.
Replace the screws you previously removed from the element brackets through the new brackets and into the oven wall. Tighten the screws to secure the bake or broil element.
8.
Lay the bake element on the supports along the bottom of the oven. Snap the broil element into the supports hanging from the top of the oven.
