    Self Clean Option Tips

Here are some tips you should know before self-cleaning your Wolf oven.

Wolf Dual Fuel, Induction, and Electric Ovens

    • Remove all oven racks and rack guides, as they will discolor if left in the oven during self-clean.
    • Remove the bake stone, if in place.
    • Wipe out the oven cavity before running self-clean to help reduce smoke and odors.
    • For double ovens, note that only one oven can be in self-clean mode at a time, and the other oven cannot be used during this time.
    • Surface burners are safe to use while the oven is self-cleaning.
    • During self-clean, exterior surfaces may get hotter than usual, so children should be kept away.
    • Turning a unit off during self-cleaning is discouraged. Damage can occur if self-clean does not complete.
    • Run self-clean as often as needed. It is generally not necessary more than a few times per year.

Oven Rack Cleaning Method: Dishwasher Detergent

Wolf Dual Fuel and Built-in Ovens Interior Cleaning and Care
    • Total time: Overnight

The method:Lay an old towel in the bottom of a bathtub, place the oven rack on top, then dissolve about a 1/2 cup of liquid or powder dishwasher detergent in a warm bath. Let the oven rack soak overnight, then rinse clean with a scrubby sponge and clean water.

How it went: This method is basically exactly the same as the first one, only it doesnt call for dryer sheets, so I was very interested to see how it would go. The soaking part worked just as well, but the scrubby sponge was definitely better at removing baked-on food from the racks than the dryer sheets.

I think its safe to say using a dryer sheet in the cleaning process isnt necessary. This method is great if your oven racks arent super dirty, and you have the time to let them soak overnight. Just be sure you have a good scrubbing sponge, and be ready to use some elbow grease!

    Clean The Faulty Burner

A common culprit when a Wolf range wont ignite is a failed burner. When the burner becomes clogged with food debris, spills, or grease, youll end up with a Wolf range burner not igniting. The clogged burner inhibits the flow of gas which prevents the burner from igniting. The good news is, cleaning the burner is an effective solution.

If you suspect your burner needs to be cleaned, heres what you need to do:

How to Clean a Wolf Burner

Step #1: Make sure all burner components are completely cool before cleaning.

Step #2: For safety, unplug the power cord from the outlet or turn off the circuit breaker before you start cleaning.

Step #3: Dampen a soft cloth with warm water.

Step #4: Spray a mild detergent or degreaser onto the cloth. Warning: Never spray cleaner directly onto the burner as it can cause further damage to the burner.

Step #5: Disassemble the removable parts of the burner and handwash or wipe thoroughly with the cloth. Wolf does not recommend using the dishwasher to clean the burner parts as it could damage the painted enamel surface.

Step #6: Rinse each burner component with clean water and dry thoroughly.

Step #7: Blow through the holes to remove any excess water or degreaser.

Step #8: Use a dry toothbrush or open paper clip if necessary to ensure all holes are carefully cleaned. Do not use a wooden toothpick these can break and become stuck in the hole.
