The Toshiba EM925A5A-BS was not perfect, but it strikes a good balance between features that matter and a reasonable price. And it was practically perfect on some tests. In fact, it had the highest score for consistency out of all our units, so food is heated evenly from one side of the plate to the other. That is a nice change when you compare it to microwaves that leave cold spots in frozen dinners and other dishes.

This microwave’s even cooking was especially evident on the marshmallow test. We melted an even layer across each unit’s tray and then purposely burned them slightly to see heating patterns. The marshmallows on the EM925A5A-BS tray were pretty evenly browned all the way across. That was not the case with many competing units â some of which had brown stripes as a heating pattern and others that had brown concentric circles.

This microwave is not the most powerful we tested. It has only 900 watts of power, but it should have enough power for most tasks. It did just fine on our testing tasks.

Why Is My Microwave Oven Not Heating

Just like any other kitchen appliance, your microwave oven may at times fail to work. To fix this problem, first, make sure that the appliance is connected to a power outlet. If thats not the problem, then its likely your microwave oven has a defective capacitor. The handle may be raised and lowered. A K-Cup® pod should not be inserted. When the brewer is ready, the brew indication light will blink to signify that it is ready.

To make a brew, press the brew button. While the brewer is heating, the brew indication light will shine solidly and then begin to pulse. The brew indication light will brighten solidly again after about 2 minutes, and the water will start to dispense. Fill the sink with hot water. You are now ready to brew after completing the one-time setup process.

Toshiba’s EM925A5A microwave has an amazing price vs. performance ratio. It costs around $129 and with an interior capacity at 0.9 cu. ft. and 900 Watt cooking power, it’s just right for a small family. This Toshiba microwave comes with two color options stainless steel and black stainless steel .

To put our money where our mouth is, we purchased our test Toshiba EM925A5A-SS microwave from Amazon. It arrived without an Amazon over-box, just wrapped in manufacturers’ original packaging. Usually, we get nervous when we receive packages from UPS or FedEx since we experience our share of shipping damages running an e-commerce business. We are happy to report that this Toshiba microwave comes in a heavy duty box and the product was protected well inside the box with the right amount of packing materials.
